I have had this website for a few years and I’ve run across a lot of things that have surprised me. The most surprising part of it all was an even bigger surprise. Writing the “About Me” section would be the hardest part of my own website. It has taken me almost a year to sit down and write something that I felt worthy of letting others read. I wanted something different than a typical “about me” section on a website. I wanted something that said more than arbitrary accomplishments throughout my life. I wanted a section that told the world who I really am, the person underneath the societal judgments that shroud the individuals of the world into faceless groups.
As imperfect humans it is easy to forget that everyone in the world is a unique individual. No one is better than anyone else and every person is worth listening too. Judgments, classes, ranks, groups, and
stereotypes are lazy ways we group people and forget about individuality.
With that said, I am Mark Brown. I am an individual. I am of the world. I am not above it, I am not below it. I belong with all the other individuals of the world. If I had the time in my life, I would meet every individual on the Earth. I would listen and learn from them. Everybody has a unique story. Each person is one of a kind.
The World of Mark is my story. This is my journey. A journey to learn, to live, and most importantly to love.
