I have always been enthralled by Time Lapse Photography. To be able to see minor changes over a long period of time in a short video is incredible and can open someone eyes to things they never even knew went on. This is a collection of Time Lapses produced and edited together by me (Mark Brown) and The World of Mark Entertainment. Enjoy!
Day 3 Garage Cleaning from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
Day 3 was short and sweet. All there was to do on day 3 was to sort the small things. It isn’t quite as dramatic because it was sorting things from one big bucket to smaller buckets. It is amazing the difference it has made in the garage though!
Not sure what part of the garage is next though. I may be moving up to the storage attic before to long which I think is going to make for an epic time lapse!
Hope y’all are enjoying these short time lapses. They are fun to make!

Day 2 Cleaning Garage from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
As you can see in the video day 2 was a bit longer at 5.5 hours. More was done and I think it is neat to see on the video how the two shelves went from cluttered to clean. It is also fun to watch the trash can start out empty and then be over flowing at the end.
I was also in a fight with the leaves and wind the entire afternoon because they kept blowing back into the garage.
Right in the middle of my time lapse (which I had set up outside) it decided to thunderstorm and hail. It was spontaneous too so all of a sudden I had to run out and get the camera and equipment out of the rain and then try and set it up in the same spot again.
As this video is uploading I am currently working on the day 3 edit so stay tuned tomorrow for that video!

Day 1 Garage Cleaning from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
My hope is to make a time lapse of each day I spend cleaning out my parents garage and in the end compile them all together into a video of “Beginning to End.” From the outcome of this first video I think it will turn out sweet!
This is actually the second day of cleaning but the real day 1 I was unable to set up my camera. I have at least three or four more days of cleaning to go.
Stay tuned for more of these videos!

Telluride Time Lapse 1 from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
This is a quick 4 hour time lapse I did from my apartment window in Telluride, Colorado. The weather wasn’t fantastic so I decided to stay in and catch up on some work and enjoy the beauty I am surrounded by.

24 Hour Time Lapse from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
This is, by far, the most extensive and ambitious time lapse I have created to date. Once again I was enamored by the cloud structure out my window on Sunday morning. I was also intrigued by how fast the wind was pushing the clouds north. The light was a bit funny and the temperature was outrageously warm for November.
I had just hug my Christmas lights on my balcony so I already had the extension cord set up to plug the camera and intervalometer in. At first I was only planning on doing a few hours to see how the clouds changed so I set up the intervals thinking I would only be taking 2500 pictures. After busy day at work I had completely forgotten about the camera on my balcony. Once I remembered the clouds were beginning to clear and a beautiful sunset had formed. I changed the settings on the camera a bit to keep up with the light conditions and kept on shooting.
What I found most interesting was how incredibly fast the clouds began to move at about 4am this morning. It went from almost completely clear skies to full on speed racer clouds. Intriguing! You can almost get a glimpse of some stars moving across the sky when the clouds clear.
I decided to stop the time lapse at 11am Monday (11/22/2010). A full 24 hours of shooting and 10,354 pictures later this is what the final outcome looks like! I think this is my best time lapse to date. Learning new things on each one.

Time Lapse November 12, 2010 from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
The clouds had been crazy all day long. I was on my way out the door to go workout and I felt very strange. It was one of those days where the light is odd and there is a wierd, strange feel in the air.
I couldn’t help but march right back up to my apartment and set up the camera for a time lapse. I wasn’t sure how it woud tun out because the light was all over the place. It had also been pouring rain all day and I had to cover the camera with plastic (which is why the camera gets bumped at the beginning).
I think it turned out pretty good! I like the guy mowing his lawn about halfway through the movie.
Enjoy!

Time Lapse 2010-10-26 from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
This is a Time Lapse I did withmy Canon Rebal T1i from my girlfriend and I’s apartment balcony. I had no idea so much went on during the night right outside my door.
I love the clouds and stars throughout the video. There is also a neat animal that crawls around the field towards the begining of the video too.
The four words at the end (Listen, Wonder, Stare, Believe) because those words just popped into my head at the end of the watching the first cut. I think there is a quality about this video that displays how much bigger the world is then us. Life and motion go on no matter what is going on in our personal lives.
I have been having a hard time the last few months without my girlfriend by my side like I was used too. She is in Italy having an awesome experiance. Yet I have not been having an awesome experiance. I have been depressed and sad the love of my life isn’t here. What this video means to me is that no matter what, life is about the moment. Life doesn’t care about my supid sorrows. What fun is being depressed and letting life pass me by? This video helped me realize this.
I know that Ashley loves me more than anything in the world and I know I love her more than anything. So why be depressed? How stupid Mark! Wake up and enjoy life! The world is about the moments. Live everyday like it is your last! LISTEN to what the world is saying. WONDER what crazy directions life will take you. STARE into the distance and be thankful for everything you’ve been given. BELIEVE that no matter how bad things may seem, life goes on.

Backyard Sunset TimeLapse from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
Did this quick time lapse in my parent’s backyard on July 22nd, 2010. Struggling to get my laptop to work in the 40 degree heat I decided it was easier to get a USB extension cord and run it from my inside desktop through my window out to the camera. Then almost had a dog push the tripod and camera into the pool. Oh the events of a videographer!
Enjoy,

Time Lapse Night from Mark Brown on Vimeo.
I did this time lapse on May 30th. It was from 11:30pm to 1:30 am. It was supposed to be over a 5.5 hour period but I ran out of camera battery. The light was hard to capture too but I hope you enjoy!

Did this 30 minute time lapse of my father working on our new deck in the backyard of their house. Turned out pretty cool I think.

This was a little project I did the other morning during sunrise. It is my first time lapse. Can’t wait to try more and improve!
